As the Managing Partner of SHS, Mr. Shechtman brings three decades of legal experience to his clients. Mr. Shechtman currently concentrates his practice in areas such as receiverships, business and commercial law, banking and finance law, creditors' rights, and foreclosures. Mr. Shechtman is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Shechtman earned his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1976, and earned a B.A. degree from Boston University in 1970. Mr. Shechtman has also taught classes and seminars on topics such as Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Evictions, and is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the American Financial Network, the Board of Trustees of the Southern New England School of Law, the Board of Trustees of the Providence Performing Arts Center, and the Board of Trustees of the Ross Elkhay Foundation.
