Mr. Montoya focuses his practice mainly in the areas of consumer collections and creditors’ rights. Mr. Montoya is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Montoya completed internships with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the Chief Judge Mary Lisi in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation, and Taylor, Duane, Barton & Gilman, LLP. Mr. Montoya earned his B.S. from Sacred Heart University in 2003. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and a member of the Creditors’ and Debtors’ Rights Committee for the Rhode Island Bar.
