Mr. Hadden has practiced litigation since 1984, handling cases involving insurance coverage, complex products liability, commercial and business litigation (including non-competition), toxic tort, wrongful death, zoning and land use planning, municipal law, medical malpractice in defense of both physicians and hospitals, and tort and personal injury litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. This has included both jury trial practice as well as an extensive appellate advocacy practice. In addition, he has served as town solicitor for four years for one Rhode Island community, and has served for six years as counsel for one local planning board, and as special legal counsel for a number of planning boards and boards of appeal in the state. Mr. Hadden is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in the state of Rhode Island, as well as the U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Hadden earned his B.A. in philosophy and political science, magna cum laude, from Duke University in 1979, and his J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans in 1984, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He is a member of the R.I. Bar Association and a former member of the bar association Supreme Court Bench-Bar Committee, for which he was an instructional speaker at the 2005 annual Rhode Island Bar Association convention.
